MODE OF STUDY:  

You can study Business Administration from home! Our face-to-face classes are delivered via a virtual learning platform

What are Virtual Classes?

Live and interactive trainer-led learning experiences where you can hear and see your trainer delivering regularly scheduled lessons (in ‘real time’).

During each lesson, you’ll be able to ask questions and participate in activities.  After each virtual class, your trainer will be available to further support you on your learning journey and answer any questions.

 

COURSE DURATION & HOURS OF DELIVERY:

OPTION 1: WEEKLY CLASSES (2 Days per Week)

Duration: 7 – 8 months

Hours of Attendance: Tuesdays AND Thursdays 9.30 am – 4.00 pm

(Student support scheduled 4.00 pm – 4.30 pm)

 

OPTION 2: WEEKLY CLASSES (1 Day per Week)

Duration: 15 – 16 months

Hours of Attendance: Tuesdays OR Thursdays 9.30 am – 4.00 pm

(Student support scheduled 4.00 pm – 4.30 pm)

 

OPTION 3: ONLINE, SELF-PACED DELIVERY

Duration: Between 8 – 12 Months

Our Self-Paced, Online Business Course is delivered via:

  • Listening to pre-recorded Zoom Classes (at a time that suits you)
  • Working through the learning and assessment activities at your own pace
  • Email and/or telephone support as required (with your allocated trainer)
  • Attending Zoom support sessions with your trainer (approximately 2 – 4 hours per unit)

With the self-paced option, you control the speed in which you complete the course (it can go as slowly or quickly as you wish) and you can schedule breaks into the course schedule too. It is super flexible.

The self-paced option is ideal for someone employed under a TRAINEESHIP arrangement.

Please Note: 

  • In addition to the above scheduled class times, you will be required to complete a small amount of homework (approximately 2 – 5 hours per week)
  • You will also complete approximately 10 days of practical placement (optional). Practical Placement can be scheduled on a day that best suits you.

PRACTICAL PLACEMENT

This business administration course will include 10 Days of ‘ hands-on’ practical placement within an a real office environment.

Your lead trainer will arrange a suitable placement host for you; and will also be available to offer you continued support and encouragement whilst you complete this practical component.

Practical Placement is unpaid; however, the contacts our students make throughout their practical placement experience often lead to permanent full-time or part-time positions.

Do I have to find my own Practical Placement/Work Experience?

During our BSB30120 Certificate III in Business course you will undertake 10 days of industry placement.

Over the past 64 years, Suzan Johnston Australia has forged strong relationships within the corporate world and has a bank of employers who regularly host students of our business administration courses during practical placement. Our current hosts include employers from a wide variety of industries including legal, real estate, medical, accountancy, educational, architectural, employment agencies and interior design firms. Your trainer will arrange your practical placement with a suitable host, taking into consideration your preference for industry, job role and geographic location.

Other than the training sessions, how much homework will I be expected to do?

With our BSB30120 Certificate III in Business, your attendance of scheduled classes is important as every lesson is packed full with important information, dynamic discussions, hands-on practical exercises, role-plays, games and activities. During the business administration course the majority of your learning will be done within the virtual classroom however, some additional learning activities and also your final assessment tasks will need to be completed as homework. We expect our students to dedicate approximately 2 – 5 hours per week as homework time.

I don’t cope very well with stressful exams – Help!

Well, you’re in luck! Our BSB30120 Certificate III in Business course does not include any stressful written tests or exams. The entire course is highly task orientated and all assessments are designed as practical exercises in the form of written Q&A’s, role plays and short presentation. Your trainer will assist and provide you with learning support you whilst you complete these tasks.

Are there any Entry Requirements for the Business Course?
